LEAP Real Estate Academy spent August 19 and 20 at the 2026 Florida Realtors® Convention & Trade Expo, sharing a booth with OASIS Studio Rentals and meeting real estate professionals from across Florida.
Held at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, the annual event brought together REALTORS®, brokers, industry professionals, educators, vendors, and businesses for two days of education, networking, new technology, and plenty of conversations about what’s happening in real estate right now.
For LEAP, it was a great opportunity to step outside the classroom and spend time with the professionals our courses are designed to serve.
Two Days Surrounded by Real Estate
The Florida Realtors Convention & Trade Expo is one of the state’s major annual gatherings for the real estate industry. This year’s Trade Expo featured more than 200 exhibitors offering products, technology, and services for real estate professionals.
Throughout the convention, attendees also had access to education covering topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and fraud prevention, marketing, lead generation, negotiation, productivity, customer service, and issues affecting Florida real estate.
With so many areas of the industry represented in one place, there was always something happening and someone new to meet.
Talking About Real Estate Education
At the LEAP booth, we had the chance to talk with REALTORS® at many different points in their careers.
Some conversations were about getting started in real estate. Others were with experienced professionals interested in continuing education, broker training, or adding new skills and certifications.
That’s one of the things we enjoy most about events like this. Instead of simply telling people what LEAP offers, we get to hear directly from real estate professionals about what they’re working on, where they want their careers to go, and what kind of training could help them get there.
Those conversations are valuable to us as a real estate academy because they keep us connected to the people working in the industry every day.
Sharing the Booth with OASIS Studio Rentals
LEAP wasn’t there alone. We shared our booth with OASIS Studio Rentals, giving attendees a chance to learn about another resource available to real estate professionals in Orlando.
Today, REALTORS® are creating more of their own content than ever before. Property videos, educational videos, interviews, podcasts, market updates, social media content, and client resources have all become part of how agents communicate and market their businesses.
OASIS Studio Rentals provides professional podcast and video studio space where real estate professionals and other businesses can record that content without having to build their own production setup.
Bringing LEAP and OASIS together at the convention made sense: one helps real estate professionals continue developing their knowledge and skills, while the other gives them a professional place to communicate what they know.
Meeting REALTORS® from Across Florida
One of the best parts of the two days was simply meeting people.
We spoke with professionals from different markets, different brokerages, and different stages of their careers. Some had been in real estate for years, while others were still relatively new to the business.
We also had the opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and meet people who were learning about LEAP or OASIS for the first time.
Those conversations are a good reminder that real estate is still very much a people business. Technology may change how transactions are handled and how agents market themselves, but relationships and face-to-face conversations continue to matter.
Learning Doesn’t Stop After You Get Your License
Being at the convention also reinforced something we talk about often at LEAP: getting your real estate license is only the beginning.
The industry keeps changing. New technology appears, laws and regulations are updated, markets shift, and the way consumers search for and purchase real estate continues to change.
Events like the Florida Realtors Convention give professionals a chance to hear new ideas, ask questions, see new tools in person, and talk with others who understand the challenges of working in real estate.
That willingness to keep learning can make a difference whether you’re preparing for your first transaction or you’ve been working in the business for decades.
